Our Annual Family Trip to Orlando

Hello everyone! We hope that you are having an amazing summer. Last month we had the opportunity to travel to Orlando, FL to celebrate Cree Victoria's 2nd birthday! Since I am pregnant with baby number 2, I just wasn't up to hosting a birthday party with a slew of children. So we decided as a family that we will do yearly vacations to celebrate the kids birthdays instead of having a party. Well, at least until they are old enough to say we want a party. So we took our parents, our daughter Brelyn, my best friend and Cree's Godmother Keri, her husband, and 7 year old son with us. We found a super deal on Spirit.com for $72 round trip! Now I know what you are thinking, Spirit Airlines is one of those budget airlines that charges you for everything. We've flown Spirit before so we knew what to expect. I told my Bestie Keri who never flew Spirit that when she gets on the plane "to sit down and don't ask for nothin" LOL!! I was joking but serious at the same time because they charge for drinks and snacks and there is no wifi. The flight from Atlanta to Orlando is a very short flight anyway so we already had breakfast at the airport. We made sure that we packed light and right so that our baggage fees would be at a minimum.

We stayed at the
Marriott Grande Vista in their 2 bedroom Villa and my Bestie and her family stayed in the 1 bedroom villa.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. They had a play area for the kids, a kiddie pool, and outdoor restaurant that was near the pool. So the kids could play while we relaxed and ate.

We spent our first day relaxing at the resort. The next day, we rented a 12 passenger van and drove to Busch Gardens Tampa. Tampa is such a beautiful city and Busch Gardens was so perfect. It was a Sunday and there was an overcast so it was not that hot and to our surprise, it wasn't crowded. I really love that it wasn't crowded so we could actually enjoy the park. We actually let Cree walk around while holding our hand instead of being cooped up in her stroller.

The highlight of our visit to Busch Gardens Tampa was the Elmo Live show! Cree is obsessed with Elmo. She watches Elmo's World on Youtube every single day, she has an Elmo stuff animal, the Love2Learn Elmo, the sleepwear, and slippers. It is all about Elmo for her right now! She was so overwhelmed when Elmo walked onto the stage. It was like she couldn't believe that it was really him.

Even the grandparents enjoyed Busch Gardens Tampa. They really loved how relaxing it was even though it was an amusement park. They really enjoyed all of the animals and the zoo portion of the park and there were a ton of places to sit down when they got tired of walking. We definitely recommend Busch Gardens Tampa if you're traveling with Seniors. Our parents don't look it but they are 67 and 70 years old!

We really enjoyed our family vacation and was so happy to have the opportunity to go to Busch Gardens.
